Sure, it's a bread tab. But what else could this be used for?
Three from me: a paper clip in a pinch, a frame for a miniature picture of Mickey Mouse, a guitar pick. Add yours in the comments!
A group of friends. One task. Ten minutes or less. How will you solve the problem?

Great idea Kris!
hmmm...I see a puzzle piece, a new kind of pasta and an almost heart.
What fun! Kids will love this.

A restraining device for a very, very tiny perpetrator.
You could clip it to the tip of your litting finger as a reminder to do something -- like string around your finger, only better.
If you got enough of them and did some judicious cutting, you might be able to make a tiny Bread-Tab-Henge. (Tiny druids dancing about optional.)
A tool to scratch off the coating on lottery tickets and the like. Or a tool to remove the crud that winds up between tiles on the kitchen counter or around the bath tub.`
It's a key ring as well as a tool that replaces divets on a putting green. I. LOVE. THIS.
And it could be half of a pair of snowshoes for a squirrel.
You guys are awesome!
Tim, your blogger profile isn't coming up - are you the Tim I know??
Larramie, this is an activity I have in written form in Team Challenges. I've done it with groups of kids, having the actual item in front of us for a two minute brainstorm. But it just - just - occurred to me to go the digital camera route. Glad you like it. Join me next Wednesday, eh?
As the saying goes: "I'll be here with bells on." ;o)

Hang a bunch from a coat hanger and use as an abacus,
something to clean under your nails with,
reuse them to hold bags closed in the freezer but also write the date the bag was opened on the tab,

I've used one for years as a guitar strap lock. Simply clip it on the strap button after the strap.
I've used those fairly often as guitar picks. They work pretty well.
I use them to keep socks together while washing them. No lost matches.
Actually, a very practical use is to slip it over the strap peg (and of course, over the strap) on your guitar or bass. Your strap is almost guaranteed to remain on the peg. (I also posted this on the Neatorama link for this page)
Break off one of the prong parts, attach the clip to the end of your finger and flick it. It will fly 100+ feet very very fast.
If you put two of them together, you can make them click back and forth and annoy the hell out of people.
a weapon. break one of clamps off. stick it on your middle finger and flick it...
